Howard Bane Bartlow, age 74, of Rushville, IL passed away on
December 15, 2025, at Martin Health Center in Bloomington, IL. He was born January 30, 1951, in Rushville to Robert E. "Ted" Bartlow and Gwendolyn I. (Bane) Bartlow and was a lifetime Rushville resident.

Survivors include his sister, Jane Bartlow McMillan (John) of Augusta, IL; three nephews, David H. (Jessica) McMillan of Takoma Park, MD, Collin B. (Margaret) McMillan of South Bend, IN, and Michael W. McMillan of Philadelphia, PA; 2 grandnephews, Charles Henry and Aiden Michael, and 2 grandnieces, Schuyler Holmes and Margot Irene. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Howard graduated from Rushville High School in 1969. He attended
Robert Morris College, where he received an Associate Degree in
General Studies in 1971, and graduated from Monmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1973.

Working at Bartlow Brothers, Inc. ("Korn Top") for many years,
Howard was a very talented and respected cattle buyer, who knew the farming community well. The "Plant" was his happy place, and he loved spending time tending to the cattle and doing a variety of necessary chores to care for the animals. He had many friends throughout the community and was known for surprising them with freshly baked pies and cookies as a kind gesture of friendship. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rushville, serving on several church boards in previous years. He was a past member of the Rotary Club in Rushville. Howard enjoyed collecting as a hobby, especially Lionel trains and antiques.

Howard loved his family dearly and was much loved in return. He was a humble and sweet man, who loved the Lord and had a deep faith. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on December 29, 2025, at the Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Tomich officiating. Interment will be at Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service at the Funeral Home. Memorials
