ARDITH L. TRIER SAGINAW, MICHIGAN Ardith Lorraine Zimmerman passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Ardith is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Trier; Granddaugters, Rachel (Joel) Lennox, Sarah (Matt) Dankert; Great Grandchildren, Alexis, David, Nicole, Jourdan and Brody; Great Great Grandchilden, Gabriel and Olivia. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Gertrude (Grossman) Flathau; her husband, William Trier; her daughter, Pamela Jean Tappen; and her brother, Jack Flathau. First and foremost, Ardith was a housewife in every sense of the word. Family first always. She took pride in that. Later in life, she was helped to take care of her grandbabies when they were little, driving them all over as they grew up. She just loved being around them. Teaching and Church also was important to her at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, teaching the elementary kids at the Church School. She was in the choir and Ladies Guild for many years. She loved gardening and riding her bike 5 miles a day until her early 80's. She loved to cook too, and boy she was a great cook. Every Sunday you'd find some or all the family at her table enjoying some home cooked food. When she moved to Symphony Tri-Cities this past year, her aide told us in a conversation that Ardith was spicy … that she was. Please join Ardith's family for a time of fellowship and remembrance from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3424 Crestmont Dr., Saginaw, MI. Pastor Michael Wilke will officiate. A service celebrating Ardith's life will be held at 2:00 pm., with a luncheon to follow.
