Aretta Louise "Sis" Acri

Aretta Louise "Sis" (Auxt) Acri, 101 of Camp Hill, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025 at her home.

She was born in Duncannon on May 23, 1924 to the late Jacob and Ora L. (Fissel) Auxt.

Sis formerly worked as a waitress at the old Amity Hall and Rife's Restaurant in Lemoyne; was a member of the Duncannon Alumni Association and a member of the Chapel Hill United Church of Christ, Camp Hill. She enjoyed going to Wildwood, New Jersey for summer vacations; going to Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Hollywood Casino. She loved to knit, crocheting, spending time with her grandsons and watching all the sports on TV and she enjoyed collecting birds for on her Christmas tree.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Alda Kisner, Blake (Son) Auxt, Mabel Anthony, John Auxt, Sara Sands, Samuel Auxt, Fred Auxt, Frank Auxt, Barbara (Doll) Hoover, and Jacob Auxt.

Aretta is survived by her husband of 79 years, Joseph Acri, Jr.; her daughter, Lori McAllister and her husband, Tim of Marysville; two grandsons, Jesse McAllister and his wife, Katie of Mechanicsburg, Jordan McAllister and his wife, LeAnn of Marysville; three grandpuppies, Kasey, Stella and Jude.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11 A.M. at the Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon. There will be a viewing from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Duncannon.
