Arizona Wilson, affectionately known as "Zonie," was born on May 29, 1959, in Pineville, KY, and passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home in Gray, Kentucky.
Arizona had a big heart, and her spirit shimmered with kindness and love for all, leaving an indelible footprint in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She was a woman of faith, a devoted member of the 19th Street Church of Christ. Zonie loved everyone and had a special fondness for animals, caring for them with a heart full of love. Arizona found joy in the simple things in life, and her laughter was infectious, and shopping was her favorite pastime.
Arizona was a loving and proud mother to her children, Joseph Wayne Cox (Tina Smith), Ella Maire Noe (Shannon Lynn), and Leroy Johnson; grandchildren, Khyrsha Cox, Deonna Simmons, Jacob Cox, Hunter Cox, Paisley Sue Elliott, Savannah Johnson, Irland Johnson, and Amanda Johnson and Amanda Elliott; great grandchildren, Jaxson, Bentley, Sebastian, and Liam; siblings, Jerry Wilson, Lucy Genell Westrick, Tammy Crawford, Selby Wilson, and David Wilson; several nieces, nephews, family, and friends, including special friend and caregiver, Sherry Casey.
Visitation for Zonie will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 11 am until 1 pm at 19th Street Church of Christ, where her funeral service will be held at 1 pm with David Scott and Lonnie Maiden officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fox Addition of Calvary Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky.
