Irene Miller Obituary
Irene Miller, age 81, of Gray, Kentucky, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Born in Oneida, Kentucky, Irene lived a life devoted to loving and serving others. She had a special gift for making everyone feel like family, and to many, she was both a mother and a grandmother. Her greatest joy was found in caring for her loved ones and creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, and faith. Irene was a faithful member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church, where she found strength and community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie R. Miller; her mother, Clara Smith; her son, Jerry Miller; three grandchildren; and her brothers, Vernon Gabbard and Ricky Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Darlene Miracle, Tobey Miller (Angie), Bridgette Fore (Michael), and Jennifer Miller (Ricky Golden); her "inherited" son, Cory Garrison; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Wanda Dewees and Emory McDaniel, along with extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Logan officiating.
Irene will be laid to rest at Candle Ridge Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are entrusted to Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at vankirkgrisellfuneralhome.com.
