Arla Reva Bissell "Babe" Crooks, 94, of Lakewood, died Friday October 10, 2025, in Warren General Hospital.
She was born February 6, 1931, in East Randolph, NY, the youngest child of DeSilver Bissell and Mabel Pollard Bissell Ring.
She was a 1949 graduate of Randolph Central School and the WCA Hospital School of Nursing.
Prior to her retirement she was employed by WCA Hospital as a registered nurse for many years.
She was a member of East Randolph United Methodist Church.
Her hobbies in retirement included being a cookie cutter collector, crafting handmade greeting cards, and making quilted handbags.
Surviving are two children Martha (Bruce) Ecker of The Villages, FL and Daniel (Jan) Crooks of Lakewood; three grandchildren Amanda (Jason) Ecker Rosolen, Kelly Ecker and Joshua Crooks; four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Crooks, whom she married October 11, 1952, and who died in 2013; a grandson Lucas Ecker; brothers James, Eugene, Kenneth and George Bissell and William Ring and sisters Deloris Crary and LeJeune Michielsen.
A graveside service will be held at 10 am Saturday October 25, 2025, in East Randolph Cemetery.
