Arla Mae passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at CHI-Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, NE.
Arla Mae Ann Emily Knuppel was born June 11, 1937 to Paul and Aurelia (Brehmer) Repschlaeger at West Point, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Bancroft, NE. She attended Zion Lutheran Parochial School and graduated from West Point High School in 1955. Arla Mae worked in Omaha for Mutual of Omaha.
On July 29, 1956, she was united in marriage to Dean Knuppel at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Bancroft. Arla Mae operated the family's dairy operation for many years. She later obtained her CNA license and worked at Colonial Haven Nursing Home in Beemer and St. Joseph's Retirement Community in West Point for many years. After retiring she volunteered at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point.
Arla Mae was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, rural Bancroft, singing in the choir, playing in the church band, and served as a representative with Dean for the Walther League at St. Paul Lutheran School in West Point. She belonged to the Crazy 8's card club. Arla Mae enjoyed gardening, was a fabulous cook, providing meals for the feedlot, during harvest and for the hunters that came by. She was and avid sports fan for her family and extended family.

Son-Jeff and Regan Knuppel of Bancroft, NE and family-Morgan, McKenzie, Houston Logan, and Bo
Daughter-Paula and Marlen Eve of Gettysburg, PA and family-Hannah, Emily, Sam and his fiancée Haley
Son-Jerry and Sarah Knuppel of Fremont, NE and family-Jenna and Lauren
5 Great Grandchildren
Sister-in-law- Doris (Gene) Zobel of West Point, NE
Arla Mae is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents-Paul and Aurelia Repschlaeger, husband-Dean Knuppel, and brother-Ken Repschlaeger.
