Arleen Emma Hobbs October 21, 1959 – June 16, 2025 Arleen Emma Hobbs, age 65, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away on June 16th after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was first diagnosed in July 2023, and while the prognosis was daunting, Arleen-true to her resilient spirit-faced each day with grace, strength, and an unwavering love for her family. Born in Greeley and raised in Windsor, Arleen was the daughter of Ernst and Selma Daudert. She graduated from Windsor High School, where she worked at the Windsor Library during her junior and senior years. After high school, she began working at the Hewlett-Packard plant in Loveland. It was there that she built friendships, found joy in volleyball and softball leagues, and eventually met Kenneth Hobbs. They married in 1984 and spent twelve years together, raising their four children. Arleen was the kind of mother every kid wished they had-the mom who welcomed everyone, the one who showed up, supported every dream, and taught her children the importance of kindness, hard work, and family. She often juggled multiple jobs, including time spent at ShopKo and Target, to make sure her children had what they needed, never compromising her warmth or energy. She cherished the simple joys of life: family road trips, summer hikes, bike rides, movie nights, and home-cooked meals around the dinner table. She loved books, puzzles, and walks through her neighborhood. One of her greatest joys later in life was being a grandmother-her face would light up in the presence of her four grandchildren. Even through the hardest days of her illness, Arleen never stopped living fully. She endured treatments with quiet strength, and on every good day, she filled it with meaning-enjoying games, taking trips to The Armadillo, laughing, and spending moments with her loved ones. She continued to smile, to listen to stories, and to share love, even in her final days. Arleen is survived by her sister, Carol Jane Daudert of Loveland; her children Karen Hobbs of Loveland, Brenda (Chi) Chan of Longmont, David (Claire) Hobbs of Loveland, and Eric (Natalie) Hobbs of Windsor; and her grandchildren, Barrett, Norah, Isaac, and Noelle. She was preceded in death by her parents and her uncle, Bruno Wagner. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful her pain is gone. Arleen leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and gentleness that will live on in each of us. Her memory is woven into every value she instilled, every story shared, and every quiet moment, for we still feel her presence. We were the lucky ones to call her mom, sister, Oma, and friend.
