Arlene Phyllis Berg

Arlene Phyllis Berg, age 92, of Orrville, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, following a period of declining health.
Arlene was born on April 25, 1933, to the late Glenn and Ida (Butzer) Frase and graduated from Dalton High School in 1953. She married Merle on January 15, 1955 at Smithville Brethren. Merle died on December 10, 2020.
She worked at Smith Dairy meeting her husband there. She was a stay at home mom raising four children. Arlene enjoyed traveling with her husband and baking was one of her favorites. She also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Guardians and getting together with family and friends.
Surviving are four children, Duane Lee Berg, Linda Lou Berg, and Denise Dawn Steiner all of Orrville, and a son Jeffrey Allen (Lisa) Berg of Massillon; three grandchildren, Ashley (Corey) Sayre of Marshallville, Amanda Steiner of Orrville, and Katelyn Berg of Massillon; sister, Glenna Purdy of Wooster.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Willard Frase, and Leland Frase; and son-in-law, Daniel Nathan Steiner.
Friends may call on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, at Auble Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Huffaker officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
