Arlene Josephine Klauck, age 87, of Nisswa, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, at her home on October 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Arlene was born on September 22, 1938, in Chicago to Anthony and Cassimera (Gurski) Dorsha. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Howard Klauck, in Chicago. A few years later, these "two crazy kids" followed their hearts north to Nisswa, where they purchased and ran Wa-Ho-Vi Resort on Lake Edna.
Arlene’s life was defined by her faith, her love for her family, and her passion for the outdoors. She, together with Howard, dedicated her life to Jesus. She enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, being out on the water, and spending time in nature, and she could routinely be found feeding the birds outside her home or catching some sun by the lakeshore. Her greatest treasure, however, was her family—especially her son, John, and her grandchildren, who brought endless pride and happiness to her days.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Patty, of Nisswa; brother, Richard Dorsha; grandchildren, Joshua (Kyrstin) Klauck and Natika (Daniel) Nichols; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Townes, Elise, Alice, and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1995; her parents, Anthony and Cassimera; and her sister, Annette.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Lakewood Church in Baxter, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20, at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
