STOW - Arlene M. Stopar, 93, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025.
Arlene was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Ermakora) Stopar.
She was a life-long devout Catholic and a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Cleveland and Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow.
Arlene spent the last 25 years residing in Stow, Ohio, to be closer to her beloved daughter and granddaughters.
Arlene is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Ann (Anthony Lalli); granddaughters, Ashley AnnMarie and Alyssa Nicole; great-grandchildren, Elsie, Todd, Bentley and Harley. Preceding her in death were many, many relatives and friends throughout her long life on earth - from Cleveland to Rock Creek and to Stow, Ohio.
Arlene loved her family most, especially sharing a close bond with her daughter, Jacqueline. She truly enjoyed being a grandmother, cooking and cleaning. She had worked just as hard outside the home in her early years from farming, waitressing, cleaning houses and becoming an LPN. In her later years, she enjoyed playing dominoes, bingo, completing word searches and socializing with her numerous friends at Lawrence Saltis Plaza in Stow.
While we mourn her passing, we celebrate her long life which was full of spunk and a quick-witted sense of humor that will live on in our memories forever. There is finally “a chair up there in Heaven” for you, Mom!
A special “thank you” to the wonderful staff at Bath Creek Estates and Summa Hospice for her care over the last five years.
Fr. Felix Silagan, of Holy Family Catholic Church, will conduct service 11 AM, Monday, June 16, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224.
