Lucas Funeral Home - KellerArlene Willis, 93, passed away on August 20, 2025, in Keller, Texas, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on March 24, 1932 in Olathe Kansas, to Arthur and Genevra Buckles, and was an only child. Her beloved husband of 62 years preceded her in death October 2013, and she was left with a lifetime of wonderful memories with him.
The matriarch of her close knit family, Arlene loved spending time with them. She was an inspiration to and blessed with her daughter, Gelene and son, Ed (Mary). Most of all she loved being a part of her three Grandson's lives, Allen (Deanna), Cliff (Amanda), and Chris (Sid) and two great granddaughters, Katie and Emma brought her joy and was able to see them often, as they all lived close here in Texas.
Arlene was the embodiment of caring, unselfishness, motherhood and kindness and admired by many people whose lives are touched. You could often find her with a small dog in her lap, smiling and petting them lovingly. Arlene enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing cards, solving word searches, and watching Hallmark movies. She had an early memorable employment at Hallmark in Kansas City, MO and followed that with a loyal career at Sears in Harlingen, TX. She was a dedicated member of Eastern Star in Texas, she did charity work and traveled with the group of ladies often.
