Arline R. Oberster, 84, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Aultman Hospital. She was born in Canton on March 13, 1941, to the late Ray and Estella (Fort) Smith.

Arline was an avid gardener who cherished time with her family, especially their weekly family dinners. She was a member of First Christian Church and a graduate of Canton South High School. She retired from Aultman Hospital, where she worked as a Unit Assistant.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 60 years, Donald J. Oberster, who passed on September 18, 2020; and her daughter, Lori May.

Those left to treasure her memory include her three children, Donald C. (Angela) Oberster, Lisa (Jeff) Steel, and Amy (Jim) Darnell; son-in-law, Ron May; sisters, Judy Bourne and sister-in-law Carol Smith; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Friday, August 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Please note, services are being held there due to renovations being completed at the Canton South Funeral Home.
