Arma Jean Mueller, a devoted and compassionate individual, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Decatur, Texas, at the age of 89. Born on March 26, 1936, in Dallas, Texas, Arma embodied a life of service and dedication to her profession and community.
Arma pursued her passion for nursing with great commitment, earning her RN degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU). She had a fulfilling career as a Medical Retired Registered Nurse, providing care and support to countless patients over the years. Her work was characterized by an unwavering devotion to those she served, and her compassionate nature made a lasting impact in the lives of many. Upon retiring she was known as Mimi by all of the children who stayed in her home.
A beloved member of her community, Arma attended the Decatur Church of Christ, where she found strength and solace throughout her life. Known affectionately by those close to her as Arma, she will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. She nurtured connections with many individuals, building enduring friendships that were a testament to her caring heart.
Arma is survived by her son, Bart Mueller of Decatur, as well as extended family members and a host of friends who cherished her presence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Jefferson Davis; her mother, Alamae Murray; her husband, Ross Franklin Mueller; her sister, Annette Schroeder; and her brother, Archie Davis, II.
Visitation will be held on October 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, both at Hawkins Funeral Home located at 405 E Main St, Decatur, Texas, 76234.
Arma Jean Mueller leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness that will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered in the hearts of many.
