Gary Peterson Obituary
Gary Sherman Peterson, 84, passed from this earth Saturday, September 27th, 2025 peacefully at his home.
Memorial Service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11th, 2025 at hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur, Texas.
Gary was born July 31st, 1941 to Sherman and Martha Peterson in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was united in marriage October 7th, 1995 to Penny in Denton, Texas. Gary graduated from Northwest Mission State in Maryville, Missouri, he worked for American Airlines, retiring after many years as a passenger service manager. Gary was an avid golfer, enjoying the Runaway Bay Golf Course as much as possible.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Martha Peterson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Penny; 4 children; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
