Armand R. L'Etoile

Armand R. L'Etoile, 88, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025. He was the husband of Rita A. (Mello) L'Etoile for 68 years.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph and Diana (Duteau) L'Etoile he lived in New Bedford most of his life.

Armand enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 18 where he served proudly before being Honorably Discharged and continuing to work for the government. He then worked for Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School as an electronics shop instructor, and finally opened his own Real Estate office with his wife, Rita. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and bringing his family for his favorite treat of ice cream. Armand remained positive throughout his life and in his last days he remarked to his family "We lived a good life".

Survivors include his wife, Rita; his granddaughter Brooke L'Etoile and her fiancé Michael Ricketts of New Bedford; his grandson, Brett L'Etoile and his wife Jamie of Augusta, GA; his great grandchildren, Indiera Thompson, Alexia Thompson, Jerome Thompson, Jr., Ja'Nea Thompson, Evan L'Etoile, Issac L'Etoile, Ryan L'Etoile and Elsieria Thompson and her boyfriend Isaiah Lopes; and a great-great-granddaughter Emeilia Elsie Lopes.

He is predeceased by his sons, Mark A L'Etoile and Wayne M. L'Etoile.

According to his wishes, private services will be held.
