Armando Archuleta passed away at the age of 74 surrounded by his family. Born on March 10, 1950, in El Paso, TX.

Armando is lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years Estela Archuleta, his children Angelica Serna, Sonia Rivera and Armando Archuleta Jr., as well as his 8 grandchildren Christian Jr., Raul III, Armando III, Jasmine, Enrique, Aythan, Esteban and Jonathan. He also leaves behind his brother Samuel Archuleta, his sons-in-law Raul Jr. and Christian Sr. Preceded in death his father Martin Archuleta, mother Juana Archuleta, Raynaldo Archuleta, Rodolfo Archuleta, Arturo Archuleta, and grandson Emilio Rivera.

Armando is an alumnus of Jefferson High school. Armando served the community as a driver for Famer's Dairy, Bienvivir, Lutheran Adult Daycare Center, and Sun Metro for 8 years before being diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon cancer. He battled the disease for 16 years under the care of Dr. Shahinian and the wonderful team at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. He loved going to Ruidoso and Wal-Mart. He will always be remembered by his loved ones as their Superhero as he always showed incredible strength and determination. Armando was a devoted San Fransico 49ers fan and loved the sport of boxing. He will always be remembered for his genuine smile, our very own Santa Claus, hardworking, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. We love you to the moon and back.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 2, 2024 at San Antonio Catholic Church, 503 Hunter. interment will follow at 11:30 AM at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
