It is with profound sadness and tender hearts that the family of Armando Figueroa, age 68, of Novi, Michigan, announces his sudden passing on October 18, 2025.

Armando left this world peacefully in Hilton Head, South Carolina, after courageously succumbing to heart and kidney disease, surrounded by love and comfort.

Armando was born, July 27, 1957, in Los Angeles, California, at Our Lady of Angels Hospital, Armando lived a life filled with joy, determination, and devotion to family and friends. He was a proud graduate of Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, CA, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). A true Bruin at heart, Armando's love for UCLA sports followed him wherever life took him-he never missed a game.

Armando began his lifelong career in the steel industry with U.S. Steel in San Francisco, where he quickly proved his talent, integrity, and dedication. Over the next 45 years, his career flourished as he took on leadership roles at Feralloy Corporation, ThyssenKrupp, and Delaco Steel in Michigan. His work took him from Northern California to Illinois, and finally to Michigan, where he built a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Adele, whom he met in Northern California.

A lifelong lover of sports, Armando played little league baseball as a boy, football in high school, and later found his greatest joy on the golf course, sharing the game with Adele and their son, Ryan. Watching Ryan play lacrosse brought him endless pride. Beyond sports, Armando had a deep passion for history-especially World War II-and could often be found reading, learning, and sharing stories that inspired his family.

Armando's leadership, warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Adele; his children, Ryan and Megan; his grandson, Wesson; his loving mother, Blanca; his sister, Lidiette (Michael); mother-in-law Joyce; his brother-in-law Gregg (Sharon); his dear nephews and niece, David, Conner, and Darby; and former spouse, Kathleen. He is reunited in heaven with his father, Armando Sr., and his beloved daughter, Elise.

A Celebration of Life honoring Armando will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Walnut Creek Country Club in South Lyon, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Fund.

Please keep the Figueroa family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Adele, very sorry for your loss. Armando was kind, good natured, and intelligent. We kicked back together during his Chicago time. He would send me emails or texts such as "Hegan, next Wednesday at 2:00 will be the start of a historic event because that's the day I'm going to beat your a.. at Sand Creek". RIP my friend
