In loving memory of Armando Garza, Jr. Sunrise: November 4, 1959 Sunset: July 12, 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved brother Armando Garza, Jr. who left us on the evening of Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the age of 65. He was born in Houston, Texas to Carmen Garza and Armando Garza, Sr. on November 4, 1959.
Armando Jr. was a devoted son, father, grandfather; a caring brother, uncle, and a true friend whose loss leaves an emptiness that words cannot fill.
He is preceded in death by his father, Armando Garza, Sr., his brothers; Henry Garza and Raymond Garza, his Guelita Virginia G Puente & Guelito, Emeterio Puente. He is survived by his loving daughter, Christina A. Garza (Kevin Quintanilla) and his grandson, Noah Quintanilla. He also leaves behind his loving mother Carmen Garza; Siblings: Mary Ann & John Carrion, Theresa Garza, Mary Helen & Gilbert Castro, Elizabeth & Michael Dunlap, Rosanne Garza, Michael & Rebecca Garza, David & Christina Garza, Marc & Susan Garza, Adeline Garza, along with numerous other Nieces and Nephews.
Jr. had a heart full of love for all his Nieces and Nephews. His love for his family, especially his daughter and grandson, showed in all he did.
US Marine Veteran Staff Sgt. Armando Garza, Jr. proudly served our country in the United States Marines Corps for 12 years and was a Police Officer for 13 years.
Jr loved to BBQ, listen to music, play pool, the Houston Astros and spend time with his grandson Noah or go watch his niece's softball games and dance recitals. All the kids loved their Uncle Jr. and he will be deeply missed by all. Jr. will now be guarding the golden gates of heaven and will be one of our guardian angels. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, 11:00 am at Resurrection Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be Kevin Quintanilla, Michael Garza, Marc Garza, David Garza, Gilbert Castro, John Carrion, Jose Reales and Honorary Pall Bearer's, Carl "Danny" Montoya, and Noah Quintanilla.
