Ms. Arnesea D. Roberts, eldest child of the late Eddie and Elizabeth Rowe Davis, was born July 18, 1947 in New York City, New York. On Saturday, April 8, 2023, she was called from labor to rest as she slept at the Brian Center Nursing Care, Columbia, South Carolina.
Arnesea was a 1965 graduate of Twin City High School, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina and a 1966 graduate of IBM Processing School, New York City, New York. She also attended Brooklyn Academy Music School in 1967. She worked as a Money Transferer for Chase Manhattan Bank from 1966 to 1977. After relocating to South Carolina, she worked locally.
Arnesea was a dedicated member of Saint John CME Church, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina where she was an active member of Sunday School, the Senior Choir and the Floral Club until her health began to decline.
In addition to both of her parents, Arnesea was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Davis, Jr.
Those left to cherish her precious memories include: three loving sons, Terry Roberts and Cain Roberts, Jr., both of Winter Haven, Florida and Cecil Tyrone Roberts of Washington, DC; three grandchildren, Ti'Ondra Cummings, Ra'Quel Bighem and Terry Roberts, Jr., all of Winter Haven, Florida; one great-grandchild, Taylin Roberts of Winter Haven, Florida; three sisters, Doreen Aird of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, Diana (James) Owens of Swansea, South Carolina and Juanita (Calvin) Edwards of Snow Hill, North Carolina; two brothers, Gerald (Reverend LaFreda) Davis and Michael (Dian) Davis, both of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law – Selethia Davis and Patricia C. Richardson, both of Columbia, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
