Arnetta Swaner was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 6th, 1954 to the late Willow Mae (Ham) Brown and Charles Ham. She attended Long Island University and became an RN. She was beloved by all who knew her and her life illustrated true kindness. She loved her career of service and education as a nurse/clinical advisor for the Visiting Nurse Services of New York for over 20 years.
If Arnetta was in your life you experienced a living example of love, generosity, honesty, loyalty, dedication and patience. She saw the good in people. She nurtured the potential she saw in everyone. She was a free spirit who marched to the beat of her own drum. She was jokingly referred to as a hippie. These things we know for sure..she loved the Lord, ALL of her kids, and her family. She leaves a gaping hole in humanity and will be sorely missed.
Arnetta leaves her memory to be cherished by her daughter Charlett Swaner-Smith (Mauricus) granddaughter Chailee Terrell Swaner-Augustin, son Arsheen Eric Pearson, brothers Lawrence Ham (Akia), James Ham (Mary), sister Cynthia Covington, nieces Jacquana (Akil), Latoya, Jalisa, Aniyah, Katrina, nephews Shaliff (Shadia), Christopher, Robert, Tyler, Brandon, Akhiel and Aniyah great niece Jaliyah, Eliana great nephews Jamier, Darryl, Toby,Javon, Mitchell and treasured friends Cynthia Beckles and Stephanie Middleton. She was preceded in death by her beloved nephew Terrell Akers, brother Rickey Ham and sister Elaine Ham.
