Funeral services for Anna Belle Swaner, 87, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1930 Cheyenne Street, Douglas, Wyoming with Bishop Shawn Wilde presiding. A viewing and visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 A.M.to 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in the River View Cemetery in Saint Anthony, Idaho.
Anna Belle Swaner died on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.
She was born Sunday, May 2, 1937 in Ashton, Idaho the daughter of Charles Elmore and Clara Belle (Dunn) Geyer. She was raised and educated in Saint Anthony. Anna Belle was married to Richard Eugene Swaner on December 19, 1958 in Saint Anthony. The family moved to Butte, Montana and in 1976 they moved to Douglas, where she resided until the time of her death.
Anna Belle enjoyed keeping her yard and home immaculate.
She is survived by her children, William J. (Manju) Swaner of Manteca, California and Brenda (Roger) Powell of Douglas; sister, Edna Fern Wilcox of Saint George, Utah; six grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on August 10, 2018; father, Charles, on August 25, 1970; mother, Clara Belle, on December 17, 1963; daughter, Teresa Mae Hiebert, on September 9, 2022; and siblings, Fred Ray Geyer on December 23, 2012, Charles Elmer Geyer in January, 1915, Viola Verda Geyer in1917, Mary Ellen Watts on January 7, 2004, Howard Eugene Geyer on May 1, 2007, Charles Roy Geyer on October 8, 1997, Grayce May Bauer on September 3, 1943, Dolly Marie Geyer on March 2, 1932, and Dorothy Blanche Geyer on September 29, 1941.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Powell, Lonnie Hiebert, Bryce Tschida, David Goldsmith, Jason Hiebert, Justin Swaner, and Marlin Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial to the choice of the donor would be appreciated by the family.
The Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
