Arnold E. "Arnie" Anderson, 74 of Lac Courte Oreilles, Reserve, WI passed away on August 8, 2024.
Arnold was born May 3, 1950, in Chicago IL, to Arnold B. Anderson and Esther Quarderer. He was raised in the city his whole childhood. In 1969 he enlisted in the United States Army as a paratrooper, parachute rigger. Arnie was honorably discharged in 1972. His Mentor, Jim, taught him all about plumbing and sewer work. Arnie continued in that line of work for 40 plus years. His biggest accomplishment in life is his family. At a young age he demonstrated this with his sisters, Sena and Kim, in tow with him for many adventures. Arnie married Charlene and had a daughter, Tracy, before he enlisted in the army. After leaving the army, he married Evelyn and together, they had 3 children. Laura, Jason and Michael. Along this journey they "adopted" many other children to join them in their life's adventures. Roger, Betsy, Sandy and Bobby are among some of them. His truest form of love showed when his grandchildren; Devon, Bobbi, Morgan, Madalynn, Angel, Ryver, Alyseah, Makaria, Saniah, Jody and Laura came into this world. His love continued to shine as his great grandchildren, Rowyn, Parker, Mya, August, Soren and Amelia joined his ever-growing tribe. With or without his family, you would find Arnie enjoying his passion for playing pool. A cue stick in hand, laughing and joking as he hustled his opponents, with both skill and luck on his side. Arnie was no stranger to jumping into a vehicle with his friend Cheryl for many adventures. He lived his life to the fullest, smiling the entire way.
He is survived by his children Tracy, Laura, Jason & Michael; grandchildren & great grandchildren; sister Kimberly (Scott) Rohde; brother Donald "Tubby" Williams; brother-in-law Fred Groh; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arnie was proceeded in death by his wife Alice Evelyn; granddaughter Makaria; parents Arnold & Esther; sister Sena; nephew Fred; aunts Betty & Judy; and uncle Bob.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at St. Franics Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Karunakar Madanu officiated with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 19th at the Reserve Community Center on Agency Road.
Honorary casket bearers were Sandy Carley, Brandon DeBrot, John Hall, Ron Quaderer, Brandyn Stevens & Dave Thunder.
Casket Bearers were Angel Anderson, Devon Getchell, Ryver Glynn, Bobby Wallace, Roger Wallace & Roger Wallace Jr.
