Arnold "Arny" Drinkwater

Lincoln – Arnold "Arny" Drinkwater, 72, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Arny was born in Lincoln on June 15, 1953, the son of Cecil and Velda (White) Drinkwater.
Arny grew up in Lincoln and was a graduate of Mattanawcook academy. Following high school, he made a long career out of working at Lincoln Pulp and Paper for over 30 years as a millright, until his retirement. Following his time at the mill, in true Arny fashion, he had to find something to keep him occupied, so he started woodworking. Arny eventually went back to work, and he loved every minute of his time he spent working at Ireland farms. When Arny wasn't working, he found enjoyment being outside by the fire, camping, fishing, hunting, gardening and going dancing in his younger years.
Arny is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Dame) Drinkwater; his children, Melissa and her husband Alex Pelkey, Kimberly Drinkwater and her spouse Ryan Sellars, Melaine and her husband Eli Annis, Robert, Stephen, and Terri and her husband Brian McGowen; his grandchildren, Dakota, Cordell, Shahsta, Dyllan, Salene, Terrianah, Evvynn, Brian, Emma, Haley, Rob and Maggy; two great grandchildren, Aurora and Clementine and three more on the way; siblings, Roland Drinkwater, Reggie Drinkwater, and Pam Drinkwater and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Aileen Drinkwater; brothers, Kenneth and Rodney drinkwater.
Friends may call from 1-2PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Bowers Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, ME. A Service celebrating Arny's life will take place at 2PM on Friday, at Bowers.
