Arnold Flusche Obituary

January 22, 1935 – February 25, 2024
Arnold J. Flusche, age 89, of Idalou, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024, with his family by his side. Arnold was born in Muenster, Texas to Al and Hilda Fuhrmann Flusche.
Arnold and Joanne Martini Flusche were married on August 5, 1957, in Wichita Falls. They moved to Idalou in 1964 where they owned White's Auto Store in Idalou for over 40 years. Arnold was preceded in death by Joanne in 2015 after 58 years of marriage. Arnold is survived by his brother Larry Flusche and three children and their spouses, Diane and Dwain Bunting of Lubbock, David Flusche and Sandy Huynh of Amarillo, and Darryl and Janet Flusche of Canyon; grandchildren, Kari and Hanna Bunting, Kyle and Callie Flusche of Lubbock, Tamara (Flusche) and Philip Dixon of Norman, Ok. Also, two great-grandsons, Rhett and Sawyer Flusche of Lubbock.
A rosary will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28th followed by visitation from 6:30-8:00 at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Idalou. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Idalou. Interment after the mass will be in the Idalou Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Philip Catholic Church in Idalou or any charity of your choice.

The Flusche´s and my wife and I always enjoyed camping with them and particularly partaking some of Joanne´s cinnamon rolls.

Mr Flusche was the go to man for small engine repairs. My dad would head to Whites Auto (Altogether, Dad would say) for parts, regularly on his weekends. Arnold was easy and calm to deal with yet staunch in his opinion. Good man.

To the Flusche family, I am sorry to hear about the loss of Arnold. He was a wonderful man and a pillar of the community. Many lawns would have gone astray if not for him. Please know I am praying for you all.
