Arnold Robert Frieman

Arnold Robert Frieman, "Abee" died on July 21, 2024, at the age of 77 in Santa Rosa, CA. He is survived by his son, Geoff Frieman, his daughter in-law and his two grandchildren who live in Santa Barbara, CA. Arnie grew up in Annapolis where he was a star fullback for Annapolis HS and their first undefeated season in 1962. He played football at Syracuse where he competed for reps behind Larry Csonka. Arnie married Janice in 1970 and they raised two children, Geoff and Michelle. After Michelle and Janice passed in 1983, Arnie re-married to Darlene Diatz from 1986 until 2002. In 1987, Arnie moved to Telluride, CO, where he built a successful telecommunications business. He retired and moved to Peoria, AZ, in 2006 where he met his partner, Kathleen. The last 18 years, Arnie and Kathleen have spent their summers in Santa Rosa before returning to Arizona in the wintertime. A graveside service will be held at the Kneseth Israel Cemetery, 101 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Monday July 29, 2024, at 10am. Arrangements by Hardesty Funeral Home.
