Arnold "Al" Kinnison was born on May 24th, 1935 in Omaha, Nebraska, but was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He joined the Air Force in 1953 and served as a translator, mastering several languages, including Russian, German, and Mandarin Chinese. He later moved to White Plains, New York and worked for IBM. He met his future wife, Susan Hawkins, taking courses at Mercy College, and they married in 1992. Al passed away on August 31, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan.
