Gordon Eugene Kinnison, a beloved son, father, and friend, passed away on October 30, 2025, in Greeley, Colorado, at the age of 86. Born on September 21, 1939, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Gordon lived a life rich in experiences and marked by kindness and camaraderie.
A proud veteran, Gordon served in the Navy for four years, a period he often reminisced about with fondness. His military service shaped his character, and he brought that same dedication and sincerity to all areas of his life. After his time in the service, he worked in the coal mines, further contributing to the communities he was a part of.
Gordon's love for the outdoors was evident; he cherished activities such as hunting and fishing, and he took great pleasure in drawing, which showcased his appreciation for the beauty around him. He also had a deep interest in vehicles, embarking on a journey to Wyo Tech to expand his knowledge and skills in this area.
Known for his kind nature, Gordon had a wonderful ability to connect with everyone he met, whether through casual conversation or heartfelt exchanges. His sense of humor and fondness for visiting with friends and family created cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of many. Gordon had a particular joy in watching football and was an avid supporter of the Denver Broncos, celebrating their successes with enthusiasm.
In his personal life, Gordon remained close with his daughter-in-law throughout the years, demonstrating the enduring bonds of family. He leaves behind four children, grandchildren, and his brother, Virgil, who will forever hold his memory dear.

His legacy of kindness and the love for the outdoors, alongside his stories from the Navy and beyond, ensure that he will be dearly missed by many.
