Arnold Joseph Radi, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born in Weehawken, Arnold grew up in Bridgewater and graduated from Somerville High School in 1958, where he met the love of his life Diane VanMiddlesworth. Arnold went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Arnold was extremely proud of his early time with International Voluntary Services, Inc. (IVS) and later employment with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) United States State Department having served on long term agricultural infrastructure build assignments to Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Nepal, Bangladesh, Egypt, Malawi, and Pakistan before moving back to Hillsborough in 1994 with his beloved wife Diane VanMiddlesworth Radi.

He was a member of the Somerset County Republican Committee representing Hillsborough District 28. In retirement, he was an active member of the Hillsborough Historic Committee and the Hillsborough Garden Club, where his knowledge and enthusiasm for both subjects was unprecedented. Following his wife's passing he moved to The Edge at Main in Somerville where he absolutely loved chatting day in and day out with the incredible staff and his wonderful neighbors, it was his cherished community.

His most significant passion was his family, father to four amazing men; Brett, Adrian, Mark, and Bruce, he loved to share stories about their families and accomplishments in life. While his proudest moments were evident when he spoke about each and every one of his beloved grandchildren and great grandchild, whom he enjoyed spending time with most of all. He was known for his uncanny memory and vast knowledge of history; he had the most incredible ability to engage for hours with unmatched passion for the subject at hand. You could always count on him for an engaging conversation filled with descriptive details. He will be remembered for his love of gardening, coins, fishing, and his appreciation for old westerns and classic country music.Above all, he cherished time with his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Diane VanMiddlesworth Radi (2019); his father, Lino Joseph Radi; and his mother, Mildred Tagliareni Radi. Arnold is survived by his loving sons, Brett Radi and wife Kimberly; Adrian Radi and wife Michele; Mark Radi and wife Renee; Bruce Radi and wife Tonya, his sister, Dolores Boghdan and husband Kalil; and eight grandchildren, Ashley, Bryce, Zachary, Lauren, Kylie, Bronwyn, Camryn, and Grayson and great grandchild Ava.
