Anton "Tony" Karl Radi III, 62, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in Hastings, Michigan. He was born July 16, 1962 in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Anton Karl Radi II and Gayle (Phipps) Radi.
He graduated from Gull Lake High School in 1980. After High School, Tony gained work experience in the automotive sector, and ultimately found his home at NAPA. He dedicated 35 years of his life to his career as a salesman at NAPA, where he was affectionately known as "NAPA Tony." He was not only recognized for his expertise but also cherished for his kindness and generosity by his clients and customers. His presence was a fixture in the Battle Creek community, where his warm spirit and genuine care for others left a lasting impression.
Tony married the love of his life Denise (Green) Radi on March 9, 2005 at a small chapel in Copper Harbor, Michigan.
Tony had a unique ability to connect with people of all ages, and his friendships were treasured deeply. He could make anyone laugh with his quick whit and lighthearted humor. Tony cherished the moments he spent taking his son to race motocross. Tony was an adventure enthusiast. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, driving or riding anything with a motor, car shows and taking his dogs on walks in the woods. Tony loved his family and treasured his grandson.
He taught those around him the value of treating everyone with respect and kindness, often reminding us that "we all put our pants on the same way." He was known to give the shirt off his back for anyone and would frequently give without ever asking for anything in return.
Tony is survived by his wife, Denise (Green) Radi; his child, Joshua (Kristina) Radi; grandchild, Tanner Radi; mother-in-law, Jewell McMillan; and brother-in-laws, Donny (Cathy) Green, David Green and Dennis (Judi) Green. Tony also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 3-6pm with the memorial service to follow at 6pm.
A celebration of life will be held for Tony on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Hideaway Hills Campground from 3-8pm for the 1st Annual Tony Radi Memorial BBQ and Fundraiser.
Those who knew Tony knew he was the bedrock to his family and the Battle Creek community. As we remember Tony, we find comfort in the thought that he is now at peace. His legacy of love, generosity, and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew him.
