Donald Goben Obituary

Don was largely involved in community theatre and performed over 100 shows at Marshall Civic Players. He was a master wood crafter and made many cherished pieces of furniture for his family members and friends. Don was a wonderful baker, enjoyed singing that took him all around the world, and loved to sightsee when he was able to travel.
Don is survived by his children, Sandra (Jim Kitchens) Goben-Akin, Ted Goben, Jerri (Mark Courtney) Goben, Kent Goben; grandchildren, Nicki Herman, Benjamin Goben, Anna Goben, Abigail Goben, Viktor Goben, Eliza Goben, Andrew Akin, Caroline James, Anne Elizabeth Cowan; and many great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Goben; mother, Hattie Goben; brother, Paul Goben; and longtime companion, Suzanne Siddall.
Honoring Don's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army USA in memory of Don.
