It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Marie Watson on September 23, 2025. She passed away while at hospice, peacefully and surrounded by family.

She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on 12/29/1957 and later relocated to Battle Creek, Michigan. She loved dancing, roller skating, braiding hair, and had a passion for music. She was a Christian with a deep faith in the lord.

Survivors include her ex-husband Johnnie Griffin (Battle Creek), Son; Anthony Watson (Battle Creek), Grandsons; DeAnthony Coleman (Battle Creek) Rayshaun Fredericks (Battle Creek), and Tremain Watson (Atlanta, GA), Great Grandsons; Rayshaun, Rayme'air, Jayden, Great Granddaughter Mariyah, Brothers; Herman Atkins (Battle Creek), Daniel Watson (Kansas City, MO), Willie Felton Jr (April; Battle Creek), James Felton (Pheonix, AZ), niece/daughter Nastachia Atkins, nieces Carla Felton, Carmen Felton (All Battle Creek), Hailey Watson (Kansas City, MO), nephews Deonte Watson (Kansas City, MO), Christopher Felton (Battle Creek). Great Niece Ja'Ny, Great Nephew Darrion. She was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn Watson (Battle Creek) and her son Tremain Watson (Battle Creek).

Services will be at Baxter Funeral home on October 4th at 1pm. Visitation is open to the public from 12-1 pm. She will be cremated. Memorial contributions and flowers are welcome and can be sent to Baxter Funeral Home.
