Arnold "Arnie" Joseph Schulte, 87, of Amana, passed away peacefully after a sudden illness, on Saturday October 11, 2025, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home In Amana, surrounded by his family and special friend. A visitation will be held 9:00 am-10:15 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church Parish Center, Norway, Iowa, on Monday, October 27, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am at St Michael's Catholic Church with Celebrant, Father Jacob Dunn. Inurnment will follow at St Michael's Cemetery, Norway.

Arnie was born the first of thirteen children to Harold and Marie (Bigge) Schulte on July 10, 1938, at home on the farm near Norway, Iowa. He graduated from Norway High School in 1956. Following graduation, Arnie enlisted into the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1960. Following his discharge, Arnie worked at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids until his retirement as a tool and die fabricator. Arnie loved playing golf with his family and played with his buddies on many trips to Southern courses. He also loved horseshoes and won several trophies for his expertise. He was also an avid card player and dominated when playing with family and friends. He was a member of Catholic Foresters.

He was survived by his brother, Francis "Nick" Schulte, of Amana, his sisters, Cecilia, "Ceil" Becker, of Marshalltown, Annabel "Ann" (Walt) Oakley, of Libertyville, Illinois, Christine "Chris" (Larry McDowell), of Cedar Rapids, Jolene (Frank) Randall, of Ames, Brenda (Tim) Kapucian, of Keystone, Valerie "Val" (Sue Ann) Schulte, of Phoenix, Arizona, sisters in-law, Karen Schulte and Renate Schulte, of Amana. Also surviving are his numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Alan, Vincent "Vince" and Harold "Bud", sisters, Susan "Sue' Schulte and Janice "Jan" Tranberry, and brothers in-law, Wayne Becker and Jim Tranberry.

Arnie will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially those at Lake View Assisted Living in Amana. Arnie will be remembered as a wonderful, kind man who always saw the good in others. Anyone who knew him, knew his gentle ways, as he never said an angry word and you always felt his love, especially when you told him you loved him, and he would say, "I love you more!"
