Arnold Norman Shoemaker, Jr., 52, also known as “Little Norman” went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family at home on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Bishop Floyd Vaught officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will follow the service at the Mabe Family Cemetery.
Little Norman was born in Alamance County to Arnold Norman Shoemaker Sr. and Faye Mabe Shoemaker. He graduated from Reidsville Highschool and was a faithful member of the Church of God on Thomas Street. Norman loved being outside and enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and hunting for arrow heads. Most of all he loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his mother and father he is survived by his sister, Tammy Williamson and husband, Peter; brother, Rodney “Rock” Shoemaker; nephew, R.J. Shoemaker; Nieces, Isabella Shoemaker, Hannah, and Hayley Williamson; beloved girlfriend, Tina Wood as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Greensboro Authoracare and his loving girlfriend, Tina, for their love, care, and compassion during a difficult time.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Reidsville Church of God at 410 Thomas Street, Reidsville, NC 27320
