Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa, WI. Rev. John Swing will officiate, military honors will be provided by the Nekoosa VFW Post #5960 following the service. (Please note there will be no public visitation held prior to services). A luncheon and gathering will be held following services at the Buckley Baldwin VFW Post #2534 Hall (2711 Reddin Road) in Wisconsin Rapids.
Arnold was born on March 31, 1942 in Neillsville, WI to Peter and Pauline (Tomlinson) Strangfeld. He married Patricia Pettis on December 18, 1965 in Neillsville, WI. After graduating high school, Arnold enlisted in the United States National Guard and served active duty during the Berlin Crisis. Arnold worked at Consolidated Papers in Wisconsin Rapids, retiring after working over 30 years.
Arnold is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Matthew (Jennifer) Strangfeld, Tammy (Scott) Oberbeck, Susan (Ivan) Pagel, David (Michelle) Strangfeld, Roxanne (Scott) Schultz, Timothy ( Lisa) Strangfeld, Arnold Peter (Angela) Strangfeld, and Sarah (Jason) Tompkins; 31 grandchildren: Mercedes, Regan, Jersey, Jeremy, Jacob, Ashley, Jared, Zachary, Jordon, Renee, Mars (Mariah), Noah, Emma, Chelsy, Kirstyn, Reise, Maycee, Megyn, Christopher, Landon, Destiny, Emily, Madison, Brooke, Julian, Nathan, Connor, Pamela, Elliana, Wyatt, Isabella; 13 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way: Nevaeh, Brock, Izaak, Nora, Trenton, Ariya, Kasper, Kyren, Avery, Iyla, Hannah, Elise, Hayden and many nieces and nephews.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Strangfeld, Byrl Strangfeld, and Louis Strangfeld.
Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa is assisting the family.

I worked with Arnie at the paper mill. We would tease each other lightly to break up the sometimes-routine repetitive work we had to perform. Our condolences to the family.
