Louise P. Egland, age 101, of Nekoosa, WI passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Our House Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa, WI. Rev. John Swing will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial rites will be held following the Mass at the Village of Port Edwards Cemetery.

Louise was born on September 4, 1924 in Rudolph, WI to the late Albert and Philomene (Taylor) Flick. She married Jasper O. Egland on September 8, 1945 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Louise was a homemaker and farmwife; and she took great pride in raising her family. She was a dedicated member of the Wittenberg School Mother's Club; helping to serve hot meals to the school children. Louise organized and was a charter member of the Club '51 Homemakers; and she and Jasper re-organized and were general leaders of the Wittenberg Workers 4-H Club for many years. She was active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa as a member of the P.C.C.W. and the Sacred Heart Choir. She was also a member of the Wood County Homemakers Chorus, which in later years became part of the Wisconsin Friendship Chorus.

Louise is survived by her children, Lawrence "Larry" (Caroline) Egland, Susan (Ken) Radek, and Peggy Wettstein; grandchildren, Jill Radek, Rachael (David) Urban, Matthew (Ayla) Smith, Adam (Katrena) Smith, Christopher (Tori) Smith, Justin Smith (Jack Morini), Samuel (Susan) Wettstein, and Marielle (Mat) Thompson; as well as great grandchildren, Titus, Megan, Luisa, Frankie, Joshua, Addyson, Preston, Stella, Jasper, Tyler, Keegan, and Kiana.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper O. Egland; parents; son-in-law, Doug Wettstein; and siblings, Alice (Neil) Plahmer, Ellen (Paul) Suhr, Roy (Vi) Flick, James (Leola) Flick, Frank (Arlene) Flick, Edward (Evelyn) Flick and Marion (William) Wittenberg.

Louise's family would like to express their gratitude to the administration and staff of Heartland Hospice, Hilltop on Pepper, and Our House Senior Living Memory Care for their dedication and finest of care of Louise during her final years.
