Fredrick J. "Fred" Reichert, age 84, passed away on September 3, 2025.

Fred was born on May 28, 1941, to Charles and Irene Reichert of Nekoosa WI, both who have preceded him in passing.

He leaves behind his wife and life partner of 63 years, Pat. They were high school sweethearts and graduated from Alexander High School - Class of "59". Fred and Pat were married at Sacred Heart Church on June 9, 1962. Fred and Pat had two children; Jeff and Jackie, both of whom are still trying to live life the best they can.

Jeff and Wife Arleen live near CO Springs, CO and their four children and 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren live around the Denver area. They include; Fran Velarde and her 3 children, Mona and Bryan Pryor and their 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren, Joe and Norma Gutierrez and their 5 children and Tiffany and Scot Jacobson and their 3 sons.

Jackie and Husband Brian Rucker are in Wisconsin Rapids.

Fred also leaves behind his two siblings: Tom Reichert (Eyglo) of Wisconsin Rapids and Rita (Ed) Gotz of Nekoosa as well as several nieces and nephews.

Pat had five siblimgs, three of which have passed; brother Paul Schoff of Madison, brother Fred Schoff of Tomah and sister Sandy Wirtz of Wisconsin Rapids as well as brother-in-law Howard Blanchard of Wisconsin Rapids. Still alive are; sister Charlotte Blanchard of Wisconsin Rapids, brother Dick Schoff (Mary) of San Antonio, TX, sister-in-law Sally Schoff of Madison, brother-in-law Greg Wirtz of Wisconsin Rapids and many many nieces and nephews.

Fred worked for Nekoosa Papers for 36 years in the shipping room and retired in 1996. He loved watching and studying deer as well as hunting them. He also enjoyed cutting wood. Growing a garden was something that he had a real talent for. His garden almost always produced an abundance of fruits and vegetables. He had such a big and giving heart that he would share his produce with all of the family as well as the neighborhood.

Fred and Pat have been parishioners of Sacred Heart Church in Nekoosa their entire married life. Fred was a member of the Nights of Columbus and the Lions Club for several years. Fred and Pat volunteered to help with the parish fish frys and also with the local food pantry. Fred was a huge fan of the local sports teams including; the Packers, the Brewers and the Badgers. He was a very loving husband and father. And even though many miles separated them he cared deeply for his grandchildren.

On Sept. 3rd Fred succumbed to a brief but severe illness. His final wishes were that he would be cremated and that there would be no funeral.

Fred was loved greatly and will be missed by many.
