Ruth Ione (Wood) Becker passed on September 13, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Woodland Lutheran Church in Nekoosa, WI. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will be held at Spring Branch Cemetery in the Town of Rome, WI.

Ruth was born on December 19, 1930, to Meta (Bohn) and Ray E. Wood in Fond du Lac, WI. She graduated from Fond du Lac High School and attended Ripon College. Ruth married Ervin S. Becker on December 19, 1951. She worked in accounting positions for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) from 1968 to 1982 (including Budget Analyst, Accounting Manager for the Military District of Washington and Supervisory Accounting Technician in charge of General Accounting for Capital Exchange Region). From 1981 to 1994 Ruth worked for the National Electrical Benefit Fund returning as a department director.

Ruth taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School at Messiah Lutheran Church in Alexandria, VA and also served on altar care. While living in the Town of Rome in Nekoosa, WI., Ruth was a member of Woodland Lutheran Church. Ruth was also a member of Rainbow Chapter (Order of Eastern Stars) and a member of Friends of Lester Library in the Town of Rome, serving as treasurer for two years.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Ann (Becker) Lepak, husband, David Lepak, son, David Becker, wife Helene Becker, grandson, Jacob Lepak, wife, Mary (Anderson) Lepak, grandson Phillip Lepak, granddaughter Yvonne (Becker) Camp, husband Mark Camp, and granddaughter, Gabrielle White. She is also survived by great granddaughters, Addison Lepak, Eleanor Lepak, Kayla Becker, Alexis Camp, and great grandson, Lucien White.

All of Ruth's loved ones would like to thank the employees at River Run for their unending friendship and compassionate care for our mom, grandma, and great grandma. All of you are angels and earned your wings. We would also like to thank Dr. Chet Price and his nurses for always taking such great care of her and her needs.
