Mitchell R. Tagliapietra, 32, passed away at his home in Austin, Texas on July 1, 2025. He was born on February 23, 1993 to Linda Tagliapietra in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Mitchell was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School and went on to UW-Milwaukee Honors College and majored in Political Science with an emphasis on Law and a minor in Philosophy. From there, he attended Penn State Law and earned his Juris Doctorate. During his college years, Mitchell was very dedicated to powerlifting and competed in many powerlifting meets, earning medals and trophies.

After visiting a friend in Austin, Texas, he fell in love with the area and made his home there. He worked in construction law and worked as an in-house counsel for a real estate investment company.

Mitchell had a heart of gold. He would stop and buy food for homeless people and spend time talking to them, learning their stories. He had made many good friends over the years from Texas to Pennsylvania to Wisconsin. Mitchell loved a good comedy show, especially if Joe Rogan, Eddie Bravo, Mark Normand, or Sam Tripoli were performing.

Mitchell will be dearly missed by his mother Linda; grandpa Robert Tagliapietra; uncles Bob (Kris) Tagliapietra and Mike Tagliapietra; aunt Angie (Brian Liedke) Tagliapietra; cousins Vincent Tagliapietra and Nicholas Tagliapietra; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his grandma Donna Tagliapietra.

SERVICES: Mitchell's family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Zacherl Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church at 1:30 PM. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum.

I was fortunate to know Mitch in high school, we had a biology class together! I was always amazed by his intelligence. He was the type of person that would always say hi and make you feel welcome, no matter the length of time it has been since the last encounter. I am very sad to hear of his passing, I knew back then he would do great things in this world. Sending my condolences to his entire family.
