Arrielle Lynn "Arrie" Barthel, age 37, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 4, 2024, at her home.
She was born on January 27, 1987, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Frank Emery and Ginger Elaine (Deckard) Barthel Sr.
Arrie was a 2004 graduate of Amelia High School in Clermont County, Ohio.
Having a free spirit, Arrie traveled around the United States, living in multiple states before finding her current home in Jefferson City. She had an unwavering love for nature; she enjoyed camping, spending her days outside, and she found solace in the woods. One of her favorite escapes was to Tonto National Forest, a place close to her heart. Her love of nature contributed to her being an avid advocate for the environment.
Arrie found a deep connection with music. She and her son, Wyatt, loved singing "Hotel California" as loud as they could, one of Wyatt's favorite memories. She was passionate and intentional with everything that she did. She championed social justice causes, believing in what she stood for wholeheartedly. She believed in finding the good in life, living by one of her favorite quotes, "Eat cake for breakfast."
Survivors include: her son, Wyatt Behymer of Michigan; mother, Ginger Barthel of Michigan; sister, Kristen Prim (Tyler) of Michigan; brother, Frank Barthel Jr. (Jodi) of Michigan; and partner, Sheldyn Gregory of Jefferson City ~ "I love you forever, Honies Bee."
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Barthel Sr., and grandparents, George and Margaret Deckard.
Services will be held at a later date and will be private for the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary, 915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
