Arsilia Salazar Quiroz

Arsilia "Arsie" Salazar Quiroz, age 54, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2025 in Marfa, TX. She was born on August 22, 1970 to Octavio and Irene (Salazar) Quiroz.
Arsie was a member of the Catholic Church. She had a love for working in her garden and her yard. Arsie was an excellent cook. She was well known around the community for her tamales, her catering business, and her chocolate fountains. Arsie could be described as "Awesome" combined with a little bit of "Crazy". She was also a fashionista, with an extensive collection of shoes and jewelry, and a passion for music, dancing, and tequila. The most important thing in Arsie's life was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her friends and family called her by the special nickname "Chilita". She will be dearly missed by those whose life she impacted.
Arsie was preceded in death by her parents: Octavio and Irene Quiroz; brothers: Sergio Quiroz and Eliasar Quiroz; sister: Yolanda Valenzuela; and son-in-law: German Caballero.
She is survived by her sons: Dimas Quiroz of Odessa, TX; Ivan Montanez of Wink, TX; daughters: Brianna Quiroz and husband Hugo Velazquez of Wink, TX; Arianna Montanez of Wink, TX; brother: Jorge Quiroz and wife Lucy of Kermit, TX; sisters: Sylvia Porras of Monahans, TX; Tomasa Armendariz and husband Chito of Wink, TX; Peggy Hernandez of Wink, TX; Monica Quiroz and husband Aurelio Hernandez of Wink, TX; fiancé: Guadalupe Renteria; Ex-husband Jose Montanez of Wink, TX; and grandchildren: Jadon, Sebastian, Kamiko, Masato, Maripaz, Julian, Angelica, Jordan, JoJo, and Aurora.
A Rosary is scheduled for 7 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Family Services Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 am, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at St. Thomas/St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kermit officiated by Father Victorino Loresca Jr. Burial will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Eron Hernandez, Elvis Porras, Rudy Armendariz, Fernando Valenzuela, Polo Montez, and Roy Hernandez Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will include: Aurelio Hernandez, Noah Armendariz, Damian Martinez, Hugo Velazquez, Jose Montanez, Arnold Quiroz, Orlando Quiroz, Aron Quiroz, Guadalupe Renteria, and Leo Nicholas Montoya.
