Donald Arthur "Art" Hardin
December 21, 1952 - September 25, 2025

Donald Arthur Hardin, known to family and friends as Art, passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 72.

Art was born on December 21, 1952, in Monmouth, Illinois, to Donald and Mary Jane Hardin. He grew up on the family farm alongside his brother David and sister Laurel, where he developed a strong work ethic and a love of the outdoors. He went on to earn an associate degree in Agriculture and Land Management from Blackhawk College in Kewanee, Illinois.

In 1985, Art moved to Texas with his son, Danny, where he established a successful landscaping business that he proudly owned and operated for the rest of his life. In the same year he met Denise Hardin and were soon married in 1986 in Fort Worth, TX. His dedication and hard work left a lasting mark on the community and all those he served.

Art is survived by his sister, Laurel Hillard and her husband Ron, and their son Jonathan, his children Daniel Hardin and his wife Amy, Lisa Hardin Wisdom and Anders, Natasha Nichols and Chris, Kelly Johnson and Darren King and his beloved grandchildren Kailey, Dayton, Ava, Gabrielle, Jacob, and Zachary.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise "DC" Hardin; parents, Donald and Mary Jane Hardin, stepfather Lloyd Willets; his brother, David Hardin.

Art will be remembered for his perseverance, devotion to his family, and love of the land. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, family values, and countless memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.

His family requests that any donations be sent to the Burleson City Animal Shelter, or that a tree be planted in his memory.
