Mr. Arthur Raymond Arrington, 90, of Port Wentworth, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Raymond will be missed by his wife of 72 years, Jane Arrington; two daughters, Karen Arrington and Kimberly Arrington; grandchildren, Scott Hendley (Julie), Kari Hendley, Kelli Hendley, and Hannah Wilcox; great-grandchildren, Bailey Germain (Brighton), Brooke Gray, Aubrey Kerby, and Zoie Hendley; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and one nephew.
Raymond was born in Bartow, GA and had lived in Port Wentworth for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Balder and Rebecca Shelton Arrington; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Lois Arrington; sister, Eugenia Smith. Raymond was a Christian and was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth. He retired from Union Camp after 42 years of loyal service. He and his wife were loyal softball fans. He was generous, a hard worker, enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with his grandchildren, watching the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.
The visitation will be on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth located at 402 Pinehurst Place. The funeral to honor Raymond’s life will follow at 1 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
