Blakely, GA - With heavy hearts, the family of Arthur "Buddy" Brady announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the age of 74. Buddy leaves behind a legacy of laughter, service, and unconditional love. A devoted husband, cherished Daddy, Papa, and Old Papa. he was known throughout his life as a dedicated family man with a great sense of humor.
Born on February 12, 1951, in Bradenton, Florida, Buddy grew up in Ruskin and attended East Bay High School. He was an Army veteran who proudly served his country. Following his military service, he had a successful career as a truck driver and diesel mechanic, and he later answered a higher calling, serving as the Pastor of Providence Assembly of God.
Buddy shared a loving and devoted marriage of 56 years with his beloved wife, Cloana Brady.
He is survived by his daughter, Christy Shippee and her husband William of Cedar Springs, GA; and his son, Arthur D. Brady II and his partner Shannon Davis of Bainbridge, GA. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Alex Garrett (Casey), Breanna Decker (Chase), Kailey Brady, and Arthur "Tripp" Brady Ill, as well as great-grandchildren, Ellie Karon, Matilda, and Maeve. He is also survived by his brother, Lewis Brady (Pam) of Seffner, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cloana Brady, his parents, Ralph and Minnie Lou Brady, and his sister, Belinda Brady.
In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.
Buddy's warmth, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the time they spent with him.
