Arthur Wayne Broyles

Arthur Wayne Broyles of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 77. Wayne was born on September 16, 1948, in Durant to parents Arthur Ray Irene (Lamar) Broyles. Wayne graduated from Durant High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army serving two years in Vietnam. Wayne worked many jobs in his time. He worked as a machinist for Tate Mfg., managed Mr. Steve's Rental, drove a truck for Curtis Distributing (Miller High Life), and worked as a mechanic and various other jobs before his retirement.

Wayne had a love for music all his life. He played lead guitar and sang in local bands, Country Explosion, Rowdy Country, and Layed Back Country in his younger years. He loved to play and sing with his brothers and family at all their gatherings. He was a proud member of Vietnam Veterans of America, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Durant VFW Post 3916.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Roger Broyles and Paul Broyles and sisters Linda Winters and Carolyn Bond.

Wayne is survived by his sons Michael, Steven, Bryan, and Richard Broyles; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Lewis Broyles and Gene Grounds; sisters Trisha Stafford and Juanita Green and his companion Margaret Crossland and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Wayne's life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday February 14, 2026, at Brown's Durant Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Roger Speers will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered.
