Arthur Raymond Foster, Clearwater Florida, formerly of Long Eddy, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, after a long and very courageous battle with cancer. His mom, sister, and nephew were by his side.
Art was born on November 11, 1964 to Gloria Thomas and the late Arthur Foster of Long Eddy, NY. He was predeceased by his sister, Tami Lynn, his father Arthur, his grandmother and grandfather Foster, and his Gram and Pop (Florence and Arthur) Thomas, all of Long Eddy, NY. He also lost many family and friends along the way. Together, they have met again.
From the time Art was a young boy, he loved the river, camping, music, attending live concerts, traveling and photography, roller coasters, nature, and being with those he loved. He was a beach guy and a family man. A wonderful son to his mom, a rockstar to his sister, Holly, and a loving mentor to his nephew, Matt.
He was passionate about his family and close friends, and he cherished each one of them so very deeply. He was always about radiating love to his loved ones, enjoying good people, and doing good deeds. He always met a new friend wherever he went on his travels and was also a hit with the waitresses, lol. He is very missed and loved by many.
Art enjoyed a variety of careers that he held from his very first job a Villa Roma Resorts, to the United States Postal Service, the airport, and lastly a trucking career that he really enjoyed around NY's Capital Region.
A celebration of his life will be arranged for a near future date.
Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Arthur, please visit our floral store.

My lasting memory of Art will be of his kindness, generosity and courage.

I had the privilege of meeting Art late in his life and enjoyed many conversations and outings in the brief time we knew each other.

My only regret is not having met Art sooner in my life - we would have been great friends I have no doubt.

For Larry, Art´s "life mate" and greatest love - my deepest condolences on this tragic loss. Art would want you to be happy more than anything as you were light and his joy.

May his memory be a blessing.
