Arthur (Art) Harold Fowler, born on June 3, 1943, in McComb, MS, peacefully passed away at his Covington residence on May 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was 80 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Harold and Ardis Bardwell Fowler. Art is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Jennie Kay Fowler, who stood by his side through life's joys and challenges. He is also survived by his loving sister, Carol Lee Clements.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, David Fowler (Stephanie) and Robert Fowler (Dawn), who carry on his legacy of love, strength, and integrity. Art was a source of guidance and inspiration to them, and his memory will continue to guide them through life's journey.
Art's presence will be cherished by his grandchildren, Samantha Fowler Jenkins (Katie) and William Fowler, who brought him immense joy and pride. He was a doting grandfather, always eager to share stories and create lasting memories with them. Additionally, Art leaves behind three great-grandchildren, as well as his nephew, niece, and four great-nephews and nieces.
His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Art will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family.
A celebration of Art's life will be held on July 12, 2024, at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Hwy 437 (Lee Road), Covington, LA 70435. Visitation will begin at 9:00, and services will commence at 11:00. A reception will follow at Art and Jennie’s home after the services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the North Shore Humane Society or St. Michaels Special School.
Private Internment to be held at a later date.
May Art's soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to bring solace to those who mourn his loss.
