Arthur Lee Graham II (affectionately known as "Arther" by many), age 73, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Boise VA Community Living Center.
Arthur was born on August 2, 1952, in
Valdosta, Georgia, to the late Lorain Graham and the late Mildred Jackson Wiggins. Raised in Valdosta, he formed lifelong friendships and became known for his infectious laughter and easygoing spirit. He attended Valdosta High School before proudly serving his country as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army, from Sep 28, 1971, to Jul 22, 1975. After his military career, Arthur spent his life as a talented painter. Working in construction and related trades, he was known for excellent craftsmanship, dedication to his work, and pride in his profession. Painting was not only his career but a lifelong passion.
In 2016, Arthur made
Boise, Idaho, his home. In his younger years, he was an avid cyclist, though he rode less as he grew older. He enjoyed watching football and was well known for his sharp sense of humor and love of laughter. He also shared a special bond with his beloved cat, Stanker.
He is survived by his lifelong partner and devoted friend, Emma Austin; his children, San Graham, Arthur L. Graham III, and Kalvin Straughter; his brothers, Izell Whitfield and Joel Jackson (Tracy) of Atlanta, Georgia; his sister, Cassundra Graham; his special niece, Julie Harris; and his grandniece, Courtney Harris.
He also leaves behind grandchildren, extended family, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends in
