Arthur Scott Heisel
Arthur Scott Heisel, 57, a resident of Queensbury, passed away peacefully at his home on January 21, 2025.
Growing up in New York, Art was an avid basketball player, swimmer and logo master. On family vacations, he loved to go fishing with his uncles and cousins. He surrounded himself with books and always had a pen and paper on hand to take notes.
In 1988, he moved to Rainbow Valley Ranch in Lake Luzerne. There he enjoyed working with the farm animals, maintaining the property and working in the wood shop. He learned to ski and to drive a snowmobile.
In 2002, Art moved into his home with AIM Services where he developed close, life-long friendships. There, he lived a very fulfilled life and enjoyed traveling, concerts, rodeos, WWE, the superheroes, and sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He had a love for dogs and had a therapy dog for many years at his Cronin home. He was a hard worker and worked various jobs at Competitive Edge, Alpha Industries, 1000 Acres Ranch, and Saratoga Bridges Pallet Shop. Art was very passionate and particular about everything he did, and everything had to be just right.
Art especially loved his family, friends, and spending time with them. He looked forward to cooking with his mother when home for holidays and going to movies with his dad. His nieces, nephew and cousins will always remember his bright blue eyes, his big hugs and his moves during the family reunion dance parties. He is predeceased by his mother, Janet Scott Heisel and father, Ralph Arthur Heisel of Wallingford, Conn. He is survived by his sister, Jean Heisel Ippolito, and brother-in-law Charles Peter Ippolito of London, England; nephew, Nicholas Ippolito and wife Chelsea Schizzano of Port Chester, N.Y.; niece, Mariah Ippolito and husband Zach Scholz of Naples, Italy; and niece Eliza Ippolito of San Fransisco, Calif.; cousins, aunts; and uncles; and many friends near and far.
Art will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. His family has infinite gratitude and love for those who lived and worked with him at Cronin Road.
