Arthur W. Hudson, 95, passed away at his Washington residence during the evening of July 28, 2025. He was born in Otwell on November 17, 1929, the son of Onel and Olive (Wininger) Hudson. On April 27, 1952, he married Doris (Hardisty) Hudson, and she has passed away.
Arthur served his country honorably in the United States Army. During his working years, he was employed by the McCord Corporation, B & O Railroad, and Mayflower and Schneider Trucking. After retirement, Arthur worked for the YMCA. Arthur was a
devoted Deacon for the Ebenezer General Baptist Church for more than forty years.
Those left to cherish Arthur's memory include his son, Arthur Kenneth Hudson of Washington; grandchildren: Candice (Brian) Reeser of Lewisville, Texas; Melanie (Jeffrey) Hodges of Greenbriar, Tennessee; great-grandchildren: Austin Reeser, Kylie Hodges, Zachary Hodges; and nieces: Connie (Byron) Burkhardt of Washington and Donna Rae (Ronald) Crabtree in North Carolina.
During his lifetime, Arthur mourned the loss of his parents, Onel and Olive Hudson; his wife, Doris Hudson; daughter, Doris Sharleen "Sherry" Massey; sisters: Geneva Utterback and Jean Nolley; and brother, Radis Hudson.
Visitation for Arthur W. Hudson will be 4:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Arthur W. Hudson will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana. Pastor Brad Rainey will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Condolences may be left online at www.edleemortuary.com. The staff of the Ed L. Lee Mortuary is honored to have been entrusted with Arthur Hudson's arrangements.
